🔧 Wiring & Installation Guide

Read before installing: Work with the vehicle ignition OFF. Route all cables away from airbag modules, moving parts, and heat sources. Consult a qualified installer if you are unsure about your vehicle's wiring.

Step 1 — Understand the Power Source

  • Primary power interface: T-PYC connector (hardwire kit). Connect to a fused ACC (accessory) circuit that switches on with the ignition and to a constant-power (BAT) circuit for parking mode.
  • USB 2.0 port: Available for data transfer / firmware updates; not the primary power input.
  • 150 mAh internal battery: This small buffer battery preserves settings and allows the unit to perform a clean save-and-shutdown when ignition power is cut. It is not designed for extended standalone recording sessions — parking-mode recording is powered through the hardwire connection to the vehicle battery.
  • Use a fuse tap or dedicated hardwire kit rated for your vehicle. Check your vehicle's fuse-box diagram for the correct ACC and constant circuits.

Step 2 — Plan Your Camera Positions

Channel Camera Spec Recommended Mount Position View Angle
Front 200MP · 1920×1080P Inside windshield, behind rear-view mirror 170°
Left 50MP · 1280×720P Left A-pillar or driver-side window / mirror area 120°
Right 50MP · 1280×720P Right A-pillar or passenger-side window / mirror area 120°
Rear 50MP · 1280×720P Rear window (interior) or above license plate (exterior) 120°

Exact mounting hardware and adhesive type may vary. Test fit each camera before permanent adhesion.

Step 3 — Mounting Sequence

  1. Mount the main unit on the windshield using the supplied bracket. Position the 3.16-inch screen within easy sightline without obstructing your driving view.
  2. Mount the front camera — typically integrated into or adjacent to the main unit. Angle downward to capture road and license plates.
  3. Route left and right camera cables along the headliner and A-pillars (tuck behind trim panels). Secure with cable clips to prevent rattling.
  4. Mount left camera on the driver's side and right camera on the passenger's side, angled to cover the blind-spot zones.
  5. Route the rear camera cable along the headliner, down the D-pillar or tailgate seal, to the rear mounting point.
  6. Mount the rear camera centred on the rear window or above the license plate. Angle to capture the full rear zone.
  7. Connect all camera cables to their labeled ports on the main unit. Do not force connectors.

Step 4 — Power Wiring (Hardwire)

  1. Locate your vehicle's fuse box (typically under the dashboard or in the engine bay — check your owner's manual).
  2. Identify an ACC fuse (powers on with ignition) and a constant-power fuse (always live) rated appropriately for an add-on device.
  3. Using a fuse tap, connect the ACC wire from the hardwire kit to the ACC fuse slot.
  4. Connect the constant-power wire to the constant fuse slot.
  5. Connect the ground wire to a clean chassis ground point (bare metal, not a painted surface).
  6. Plug the hardwire kit's T-PYC connector into the main unit.
  7. Turn ignition ON — the unit should power up automatically.

Always confirm fuse amperage with a qualified auto electrician if you are unsure. Incorrect wiring can damage the unit or vehicle electrical system.

Step 5 — Reversing Trigger Setup

  • The rear camera display is triggered automatically when reverse gear is engaged, provided the reversing-trigger wire (from the hardwire kit) is connected to your vehicle's reverse light circuit (typically +12 V when reverse is selected).
  • To locate the reverse light wire: check your vehicle's wiring diagram or use a multimeter at the reverse light connector in the boot/tailgate area.
  • Once connected, the main unit's screen will switch to the rear camera view each time reverse is selected, and return to normal recording when a forward gear is engaged.
  • If your vehicle does not have an accessible reverse light circuit, the rear camera will still record continuously — the automatic display switch simply will not activate.

Step 6 — Parking Mode Setup

  • Parking mode (Temp-Park Motion Record) requires the constant-power wire to be connected (see Step 4) so the unit remains powered when the ignition is off.
  • The 150 mAh internal battery does not power parking mode — it is a buffer only. Parking-mode power comes from the vehicle battery via the hardwire kit.
  • Enable parking mode in the unit's settings menu before first use.
  • G-sensor / collision lock: if a vibration or impact is detected while parked, the unit automatically saves and locks the current clip to prevent it from being overwritten by loop recording.
  • Important: Continuous parking-mode recording will draw from your vehicle battery. If you park for extended periods, consider a dedicated parking-mode battery pack or low-voltage cutoff hardwire kit to prevent vehicle battery drain. (Accessories sold separately.)

Step 7 — Memory Card Setup

  1. Insert the included 32 GB TF card (or a card up to 128 GB maximum) into the card slot on the main unit.
  2. On first use, format the card in the unit via Settings → Format Card. Do not skip this step — formatting in the unit ensures compatibility with loop recording.
  3. Loop recording will automatically overwrite the oldest unlocked clips when the card is full, so protected footage (G-sensor locked clips) is preserved.
  4. Periodically reformat the card (every 1–3 months) to maintain read/write performance.
  5. Use a Class 10 / UHS-I rated TF card for best results if upgrading beyond the included card.

Step 8 — First Power-On Checklist

  • ✅ All four camera feeds visible on the 3.16-inch IPS screen
  • ✅ Date, time, and watermark set correctly (Settings → Date/Time)
  • ✅ Loop recording active
  • ✅ Memory card formatted and recognised
  • ✅ Parking mode enabled (if hardwired to constant power)
  • ✅ Reversing display triggers correctly when reverse gear is selected
  • ✅ G-sensor sensitivity adjusted to suit your road conditions (avoid false locks on rough roads)
